In this era, our world confronts a crisis of global warming, and there are predictions that the world relentless intensity temperature in every year, compelling the United Nation (UN) to issue warnings that the era of global warming has ended, and we are now entering the Global Boiling era. Amidst this critical juncture, there is a discernible surge in the adoption of Renewable Energy trends, with solar energy emerging as a focal point for substantial investments from both government and corporate.
Traditionally, most electricity is generated by using fossil fuels, a practice fraught with environmental repercussions. Approximately 200 grams of carbon dioxide are estimated to be emitted per kilowatt-hour (1 kWh) during this conventional electricity generation process, precipitating the greenhouse effect and exacerbating global warming. In the opposite way, the installation of solar energy for electricity generation stands as a viable alternative capable of reducing fuel consumption and decreasing the release of carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases into the Earth's atmosphere. Consequently, this approach is acknowledged as an additional sustainable method for addressing the crises of climate change and global warming.
However, designing an effective solar system needs to be knowledge and understanding of electrical systems, along with the selection of high-quality components, including Solar Panels, Inverters, or even the Solar Cable. This ensures that the solar system can efficiently generate electrical currents and provides a worthwhile return on investment. Recognizing the significance of this aspect, LINK as a leading distribution company in the cable market, we endeavor to offer LINK Solar Cable products that are high quality, according to international standards. This commitment is driven by the aim to support consumers in reducing expenses while obtaining quality products with full performance beyond standard.
The electrical cable in a solar system is an especially crucial component that cannot be overlooked, as the cable must be designed to accommodate use with solar panels specifically. Therefore, this type of cable is referred to as Solar Cable or photovoltaic (PV) cable. LINK Solar Cable is designed specifically for application in solar systems according to IEC 62930:2017 (62930 IEC131), EN 50618:2014 H1Z2Z2-K and TÜV Rheinland® approval. The conductor is made of stranded tinned copper to prevent tarnishing and oxidation in accordance with IEC 60288 Class 5. It is specifically designed to support DC current used in solar systems, which is different from General Electric cable that supports AC current. LINK Solar cable can withstand a nominal voltage of over 1,500 VDC and max. DC voltage of 1800V.
LINK Solar Cable has been engineered to demonstrate flexibility and durability in all weather conditions, it suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations, this adaptability is attributed to the incorporation of two layers of insulation made from Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) with Flame-Retardant Low Smoke Zero Halogen (FR-LSZH), providing UV resistance, Acid-Alkaline resistance, flame retardant. This ensures safety for both humans and the environment. Remarkably, the cable's robust design extends its utility to aquatic environments, allowing for installation in water for Solar Floating applications. This property has been tested and LINK Solar Cable has successfully undergone submersion testing in accordance with EN 50525-2-21 Class AD8 standards.
In addition to its solar cable offerings, LINK provides many types of MC4 connectors that are designed to seamlessly integrate with solar cables within solar systems. This comprehensive selection encompasses various types, including MC4 connectors, MC4 Y-branch connectors, MC4 T-type connectors, and MC4 fuse connectors, providing for all applications. Each variant of the connector undergoes professional design to fit securely and tightly when connected, ensuring strength and preventing manual disconnection for safety. They are designed to support all weather conditions, suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations. This adaptability is contingent upon specific design variation and application requirements, LINK dedication to reliable and secure solutions designed to the distinctive demands of solar energy systems from a professional engineering standpoint.
